Mission Statement —  The Everest Environmental Expedition 2001’s mission is simply put as “The final Sweep”. Having completed the largest environmental cleanup – past, present, or future – of Mount Everest in 2000, EEE 2001 will perform “the final sweep” to clean up the discarded oxygen bottles and debris from the high camps on the mountain which were unrecoverable last year due to severe weather.

Last year, Expedition Leader Bob Hoffman attained his goal of carrying out the largest environmental cleanup of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world cheap viagra. Battling constant poor weather on the mountain in May, 2000, the team succeeded in removing 632 discarded oxygen bottles (dating back to the early 1950’s) and over 300 kg of trash from the high camps. Since climbers today are required to bring out what they take in, the 2000 expedition will remain the largest environmental cleanup of Everest…Past, Present or Future cheap cialis.

Knowing there may be an estimated 150 bottles that remained buried by severe weather last year, Bob Hoffman will lead EEE 2001 to complete the high altitude cleanup, intended to bring Everest back to near pristine original condition in time for the 50th anniversary celebrating the first ascent in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary cheap cialis. Last year’s largest environmental cleanup of Everest followed the work of two previous teams led by Bob Hoffman in 1995 and 1998. Over 1,000 bottles, as well as several tons of debris, have been taken off the mountain to date.

Famed Apa Sherpa, record holder for Eleven summits on Mount Everest, will lead the team of Sherpas who are critical to EEE 2001.
